Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User", "you", "your") and Cattab ("Cattab", "we", "us", "our") governing your access to and use of the Cattab platform, website, and all related services (collectively, the "Services").

By accessing or using our Services, you represent that:

• You are at least 16 years of age (or the minimum age of digital consent in your jurisdiction)
• You have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement
• Your use of the Services does not violate any applicable law or regulation
• If using on behalf of an organisation, you have authority to bind that organisation

Cattab is a cloud-based SaaS platform designed specifically for language professionals. The Services currently include:

• Project Management: Tools to create, track, and manage translation and language projects from brief to delivery
• Finance & Rate Cards: Tools to set per-client and per-language-pair rate cards and generate invoices
• Files Management: Storage and organisation of project-related documents and files
• Client Management: A client database including rates, style guides, and communication history
• Reports: Analytics and insights on revenue, project performance, and client activity
• Members Directory: A directory for managing collaborators, subcontractors, and team members

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature or aspect of the Services at any time, with reasonable notice to users where such changes materially affect their use of the platform.

3.1 Account Creation

To access Cattab, you must register for an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep your account information updated. You may not use a false identity or impersonate any person or entity.

3.2 Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must:

• Choose a strong, unique password and keep it confidential
• Enable two-factor authentication where available and recommended
• Notify us immediately at security@cattab.com if you suspect any unauthorised access
• Not share your account credentials with any third party

We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to comply with these security obligations.

3.3 One Account Per Person

Each account is for use by a single individual. You may not create multiple accounts to circumvent subscription limits or abuse free trial offers. Organisational accounts are available under our Agency tier.

4.1 Subscription Plans

Cattab offers the following paid subscription plans:

Full feature details for each plan are available on our pricing page. We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' advance notice to existing subscribers.

4.2 Billing Cycle

Subscriptions are billed on a yearly basis, starting from the date you activate a paid plan. Monthly billing options may be offered from time to time. All fees are in US Dollars (USD) unless otherwise specified at checkout.

4.3 Payment Processing

Payments are processed by PayPro Global, our third-party payment processor. By providing your payment details, you authorise PayPro Global to charge your payment method for the applicable fees. Your payment information is handled by PayPro Global and is not stored on Cattab's servers.

4.4 Taxes

Our prices are exclusive of taxes. You are responsible for paying all applicable taxes, duties, or levies imposed by your local jurisdiction. Where required by law, we will collect and remit applicable taxes (such as VAT or GST) on your behalf.

4.5 Refunds

All subscription fees are non-refundable except where required by applicable consumer protection law. If you cancel, you will retain access to paid features until the end of your current billing period. We do not offer pro-rated refunds for unused portions of a billing period. If you believe you have been charged in error, contact us at billing@cattab.com within 30 days.

4.6 Failed Payments

If a payment fails, we will notify you and attempt to retry the charge. If payment remains outstanding after 7 days, your account may be downgraded to the free tier or suspended until the outstanding balance is resolved.

Cattab offers a free trial tier with the following limitations:

• Maximum of 1 active project
• Maximum of 1 client
• Access to core features with limited functionality

The free trial is available indefinitely — it does not expire. There is no requirement to provide payment details to use the free trial tier.

We reserve the right to modify the features available on the free trial or to discontinue it at any time. If we discontinue the free trial, we will provide at least 30 days' notice to active free-trial users. Creating multiple free accounts to circumvent limits constitutes a violation of these Terms.

6.1 Prohibited Activities

You agree to use Cattab only for lawful purposes. You must not use the Services:

• For any unlawful purpose or in violation of any local, national, or international laws or regulations
• To transmit, store, or distribute content that is defamatory, obscene, harmful, threatening, or harassing
• To infringe any intellectual property rights, copyrights, trademarks, or trade secrets of others
• To upload, transmit, or distribute malware, viruses, or malicious code
• To attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems, user accounts, or related networks
• To use automated scraping, crawling, or data harvesting tools without written permission
• To resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit access to the Services without prior written consent
• To interfere with or disrupt the integrity, performance, or availability of the Services
• To impersonate any person, entity, or Cattab employee
• To violate the privacy of others, including collecting personal data without consent

6.2 Consequences of Violations

Violation of this Acceptable Use Policy may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account, with or without notice, and without refund. We may also report violations to relevant law enforcement authorities.

7.1 Ownership

You retain full ownership of all content, data, files, and information that you upload, create, or store within Cattab ("Your Content"). These Terms do not grant Cattab any ownership rights over Your Content.

7.2 Licence to Cattab

By uploading or storing content in Cattab, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, copy, transmit, and display Your Content solely for the purpose of providing the Services to you. This licence terminates when you delete your content or close your account.

7.3 Your Responsibilities

You represent and warrant that you own or have the necessary rights to Your Content, that it does not infringe third-party rights, and that you have obtained required consents from individuals whose data is contained therein.

7.4 Data Portability

You may export Your Content at any time from within the application. Upon account closure, you have 30 days to export your data before it is permanently deleted from our systems.

8.1 Cattab's Intellectual Property

All rights, title, and interest in and to the Services, including the software, code, designs, logos, trademarks, user interface, and documentation (excluding Your Content) are and remain the exclusive property of Cattab and its licensors.

8.2 Licence to Use the Services

Subject to compliance with these Terms, Cattab grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the Services for your personal or internal business operations.

8.3 Restrictions

You must not copy, modify, reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of the platform, nor remove any proprietary notices or use our brand assets without prior written consent.

8.4 Feedback

Any feedback, suggestions, or ideas submitted regarding the Services may be used by Cattab for any purpose without obligation or compensation to you.

Each party may have access to confidential information belonging to the other party. Cattab treats all content stored in your account as confidential. We will not access, use, or disclose Your Content except as necessary to provide the Services, as described in our Privacy Policy, or as required by law.

You agree not to disclose non-public information about the Services, including unreleased features or internal pricing architectures shared with you.

Our Services may integrate with or link to third-party services, including payment processors and cloud storage providers. We do not control and are not responsible for third-party practices. Your use of external services is governed by their respective terms.

The services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Cattab disclaims all warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

11.1 Service Availability: While we aim to maintain high platform availability, we do not guarantee uninterrupted uptime. Scheduled maintenance and events beyond our reasonable control may cause temporary unavailability.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall Cattab, its directors, employees, or affiliates be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill.

In any case, Cattab's total cumulative liability to you shall not exceed the greater of: (a) the total amount you paid to Cattab in the 12 months immediately preceding the claim, or (b) USD $100.

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Cattab and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from your access to or use of the Services, your violation of these Terms, or Your Content.

14.1 By You: You may cancel your subscription at any time via account settings or by contacting hello@cattab.com.

14.2 By Cattab: We may suspend or terminate your account immediately if you breach these Terms, fail to pay fees, or create security risks for the platform.

14.3 Effect: Your licence ceases immediately upon termination. You will have 30 days to export Your Content before permanent deletion. Surviving provisions include Intellectual Property, Limitation of Liability, Indemnification, and Governing Law.

15.1 Governing Law: These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law.

15.2 Consumer Rights: Nothing in these Terms excludes statutory consumer rights. EU/UK consumers may bring proceedings in their local jurisdiction.

15.3 Informal Resolution: Before initiating legal action, you agree to contact us at legal@cattab.com to attempt good-faith informal resolution within 30 days.

15.4 EU Online Dispute Resolution: EU consumers may access the EU ODR platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

15.5 Class Action Waiver: You agree to bring claims solely in your individual capacity, where permissible by law.

When we make material changes, we will:

• Update the "Last updated" date at the top of this document
• Send an email notification to registered account holders at least 14 days in advance
• Display a prominent notice within the application

Your continued use of the Services following the effective date of revisions constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
